HERE’S 15 SECONDS OF NEW DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN

And they are a fucking EPIC fifteen seconds.

It’s just a demo for a still-untitled song (unless, for some reason, the band ends up calling it “Song 3,” which they won’t), but it already has me hungry for more. ‘Cause it’s not really mathcore as far as I can tell, but it doesn’t sound like “Black Bubbblegum” or “Milk Lizard,” either. Interesting.

The new DEP album, Option Paralysis, is scheduled to come out sometime in 2010 on Season of Mist.

    Not a DEP fan at all. Why the hell are they on Cynic’s label? LAME. Never liked any DEP, not sounding much like I will enjoy this. If I want crazy non-sensical chaos, I turn to PsyOpus.

      I’m not basing my opinion of the whole album from this 15 second clip, just saying that those 15 seconds do not give me any reason to change my opinion. Who knows what I’ll think when I actually hear the whole album.

    The term “EPIC”, much like the phrase, “at the end of the day”, need to be retired, because everything labeled as “epic” never is.

    “Black Bubblegum” and “Milk Lizard” are both great songs in their own right. Just because they’re not mind-shattering mathcore like every other DEP song doesn’t make them bad.

    15 seconds of a new Dillinger demo is better than half the other shit out there. Can’t wait. Dillinger rule, even if their new drummer is a total douche.

    These 15 seconds of very live, very physical sounding recording make me ache for the DEP record that will never come – setting up a bunch of mics in a very good sounding room and letting them rip through a record live to 2 track. Instead, we get Pro Tools.
