This is one of the cooler DIY videos I’ve seen in a long time. The band is Baring Teeth, and they gots chops up the wazoo. I had never heard of them before, but guitarist Andrew Harkins sent in the link to this video and I clicked (see? we do read your emails / listen to your bands’ music). Lo and behold… shred! This rules.

    Please ignore the music in this video…it is my lead guitarists OTHER band who, sadly, fall into the “core” category. Actually it’s not that bad but my point here is that this is also a very DIY video that I think would fall into the category of pretty cool.

        I like Gorguts. I just think “influenced by” and “sounds exactly like” are very far away. Good musicians though, I’ll give them that.

    Like the music or not, there is some real, genuine talent at work here. These guys are all in their early 20′s and probably play their instruments better now than manyof us ever will. Way to cut ‘em down for no reason, douchebags. I doubt they give a shit what you think anyway. Crack open and Old E and turn up the Pantera and RAM, dudes! Rock on!

        Haha Ben your obviously in this band or know them because their is no other reason to defend them. Yea they might be talented but it was just a bunch of random notes put together trying to sound like some technical garbage. I couldn’t even listen to it one minute in. Keep thinking this is good metal Ben. I guess I’m douchebag #8.

        i’d happily go for #9. pretentious wankcore bands (who are too awesome to write actual riffs and songs) are grossly overrated, especially in this blog.

          I do know the guitar player and have watched these guys live several times…like I said before even if you don’t like the music, there is a lot of talent going on there. Assuming many of you are musicians or have played in bands, I don’t understand why you’d cut another band down just because you don’t like their shit. Anyway, done here.
