I'm pretty neutral in this because I like all their albums(yes that also includes the 2 that Chuck Mosley sang on too). To those of you that aren't musicians it might not make too much sense but a guitar player is the backbone behind how a band sounds. Regardless of how many songs they may write. And come on here, we're really only talking about "Angel Dust" here. Jim laid down alot in the writing department on the albums prior to that one. "Angel Dust" is an epic record because it was an epic struggle for them to make. If certain individuals would read some facts they would learn the big problem Jim had is that he felt they weren't making a new record but just repeating themselves and not in a good way, according to him that is. And seeing as how he was a member of the band at the time, not any of us writing these comments, he's very much entitled to his opinion cause he was there, we weren't. Plain and simple. The band liked the heaviness he brought to their sound and that's exactly what they wanted in the band, a metal head. While I did enjoy King For A Day and the Album of the Year CD's there was a big lacking in the guitar playing department, most notably the lack of guitar solos which is really the only gripe I have about em. If anyone out there can prove me wrong on that and tell me which song these guitarists who played on "King For A Day" and "Album of the Year", B-sides included, can match their skills up to the solo Jim laid down in "Cowboy Song" then please do tell me. Honestly I expected alot more out of Trey Spruance because his work on all the Mr.Bungle albums is phenomenal. And all that aside alot of people on here need to read Faith No More's "The Real Story" and read the actual facts about what was happening with Jim and Chuck and the reasons behind their departures. A fact that gets pointed out is that all the band members were all pricks to one another, not just Chuck and Jim acting like assholes to the rest of em for no reason. Just that at some point in time a gang mentality comes up and it's a bunch of guys against one person which can cause a good amount of tension from the person who is being singled out. It states in the book that none of the members got along famously well with each other in the first place. Besides Angeldust being overly polished in the area of production, it doesn’t hold a candle to KFADFFAL. Don’t get me wrong…Angeldust is a great album and I love it,BUT, King for a Day… was brilliant and so much more raw & brutal as well as touching upon different genres.

Take This Bottle is fucking brilliant and will remain timeless… ‘nough said!!
