DID YOU SEE THE WAY THE GOAT WAS DRESSED? SHE WAS TOTALLY ASKING FOR IT.

Last month I was standing next to Sammy Duet from Goatwhore/Acid Bath for about fifteen minutes and didn’t even recognize him. I just still need to get used to the sight of him with hair, is all. I’m so used to picturing a bald dude.

But I’m already off-topic: Goatwhore. As I said on Tuesday, Goatwhore’s latest, Carving Out the Eyes of God, is one of my favorite albums of the year so far; I’m still blasting it at least once a week. It’s just so fucking evil… I love it. I love it I love it I love it.

The band has now re-teamed with director David Brodsky for their new video, “Apocalyptic Havoc,” which is one of my favorite songs on the album. Check it out:

Carving Out the Eyes of God is out now on Metal Blade. Go buy that shit.

    I love how people will actually resort to complaining about the videos directors now. Why cant people just shut the fuck up and enjoy? This is a music video not a fucking blockbuster movie.

    Exactly what about this band sounds “evil”? Fuck, Christian black metal band Horde sounds more evil than this, and they have some of the most blatantly pro-Christian/anti-black metal lyrics out there.

    I like this band a lot, but Soilent Green is much more original in my opinion. Anyway, it’s good to see NOLA metal getting some attention. The actual video is kind of … meh.

    Killer band and they sounded good live, little bit boring though. It’s not their fault really, they were sandwiched between Skeletonwitch(awesome fucking live show, lots of energy and the singer is hilarious) and Amon Amarth(fucking tight as hell and put on an amazing show, they really enjoyed the crowd as much as the crowd enjoyed them).

    Still, I fucking miss Acid Bath… Agents of Oblivion even.

    The vocals didn’t do much for me, but I really like their guitar tones. Ditto on the comments about the upside down cross. Really original.

    Still No Bassist?? I notice in the video they never show a close up of the bassist. I saw them a few weeks back near Chicago and they didn’t have a bassist then either. They borrowed bassists from Abigail Williams, Daath, and some some chic named Sally. Still it was a killer show even with three different bassists. Goatwhore rules!!!!
