He produced Fear Factoiy’s Concrete demo which has a much rawer sound than Soul of a New Machine. It also has a much cooler version of Piss Christ. But yeah, everything else he produced was shite.

Well I suppose they could still have existed, but they wouldn’t have sounded at all the same. At the end of the day, they’re a nu-metal band (or at least, highly influenced by nu-metal), and if it wasn’t for Korn there’d be no such thing.

he did get paid, cause the boy get’s “Points” on the record.. that album sold a ton… RR gets a LOT of money for whoever he records. Either up front or points on the record or both.

I remember an interview with him from years ago, when he was at the top. He was really into norwegian black metal, and even contacted Emperor to produce their next album. He got a reply saying “that’s not going to happen” or something like that.

I kind of like Roots. It’s easily the worst Cavalera era Sepultura album but I still listen to it from time to time. The only thing good “Sepultura” (quotes necessary) have made since Max left was Dante XII.
