1) this is clearly not true. (ditto for All Shall Perish, the other band Malacoda suggested we gave the short shrift, whom we have covered in abundance)
2) fuck you.
To that end, here’s a video of a shred-off between Chris Broderick (now in Megadeth) and Jeff Loomis filmed at Jaxx in Springfield, VA in 2006. SHRED!
Nevermore are currently recording a new album. No word on a release date yet, but you’ll definitely know as soon as we do.

Jeff Loomis also has some pretty interesting solo stuff out.
That said, Nevermore doesn’t exactly seem like it would appeal to the majority of the knuckledraggers on this site. I like them – that means most people here should hate them.
Well, I guess you and I should form a club, because I’m not part of the knuckledragger crowd who dislikes Nevermore. I have most of their albums and like them all.
You might be surprised, though, by the diversity of the crowd here. If we could just get rid of the ALL CAPS morons who swoop in with illiterate rantings…and Ziltoid, it’d be all good here.

Maybe there isn’t any Nevermore news because Vince summed it all up in one sentence. And yes, Nevermore is awesome.
Goddamn, Nevermore kick ass! But videos like this piss me off too at the same time, ’cause they remind me that I’ve been playing guitar for almost 10 years and still can’t play even half as well as those guys!
I concede, after the fact, that my All Shall Perish claim was erroneus. However, I still hold my point on Nevermore. There are 2 posts on Warrel Dane, and one post on Nevermore itself (excluding today’s post), where they are mentioned in a few others.
IMO, that’s not very much coverage (at least compared to bands like Winds of Plague). Sorry if you guys have a different interpretation (and you did ask).
They have been on a break for a long time, with Warrel and Jeff both working on solo projects and Steve quitting for health reasons. So what do you expect?
Do what I do, blast their old shit loudly until the new one is ready. Also, their DVD kicks major ass.

Nevermore should have been one of the biggest progressive metal bands on earth.
I don’t get why they have “disappeared” for such a long time.
Timing seems to be a bit off…Thankfully, new album to drop next year.
