Damn, this is a sweet thread. I’m a little behind though. My computer crashed and I’m just getting it back up. Anywho, I’m a dumb 19 year old kid from Nowhere, Kansas, and I love metal and Hard Rock music. I think I’m a good vocalist, but in all reality, I probably suck and just don’t know it. I play some guitar, but I definitely suck at it. No doubt about that one. I work at Target in the electronics section and all I do all day long when I’m there is shop for CDs and movies to buy when I get off work. Me and a few friends are trying to get a band going, but where I live, it kinda sucks. And I FUCKING LOVE THIS SITE! This kind of music conversation keeps me sane!

I don’t like shit talkers. When there’s a band, or person I don’t like or I’m not into, I generally just don’t talk about ‘em. I realize that their band and their music is often their dream, and I don’t like the idea of trampling on people’s dreams. I guess I try to empathize with people in general.

I’d much rather talk about bands I like, and express my appreciation for music I like to the artists than trash and disrespect ones which I don’t appreciate.

I know, probably not very “metal”. :P

I’m a 17 year old student, just finished my first year of A-levels. I’m hoping to go on to uni after I’ve finished my second year and study journalism, with a view to end up in music journalism. Not many of my friends are into heavy metal (where I live in England most people are into indie and dance music) and heavy metal sections in mainstream magazines and the like are usually poor, to say the least.
