Well, it’s not like we didn’t see this coming.

Ziltoid, who might be MetalSucks’ #1 hater, won the contest to take over the site for a day by an overwhelming landslide, claiming more than half of all the votes.

He’ll be running the show this Friday, August 28.

    This will be an interesting change of pace, but all those who are lurking waiting for some monumental fuck up will probably be disappointed…blogs are opinions after all…and I definitely think opinions are his strongest suit. And I usually only like about 20% of the bands posted on this site, so I doubt much will change there. At least the comments sections will be entertaining!

      I probably hated on them a few times. There was a Dimebag topic relatively recently, but other people did my job for me. But I think I need to further emphasize my hatred of Pantera.

    Oh, and sorry for the double post, but Ziltoid if you are out there, I think you should do an article on the top X shittiest popular (redundant?) metal bands, or maybe even a piece on what specifically constitutes a metal band (sound-wise mainly). These would be strong articles even if I disagree with most of it, and I’m sure they would draw a lot of attention/comments as well as get your views better heard.

    Well after a simple google search of the screen name KBOOSE it looks like i have discovereda little more insight into the world of the mysterious Ziltoid aka KBOOSE.

    hit that link and you can see a little more about whats up with Zilty and his play list and his apparent love for a few songs by a little band called As I Lay Dying…..that apparently must not be “scene” like Black Dhalia Murder because they are listed as Loved tracks on his play list.He also seems to be a very big fan of Bjork as well which my or may not seem odd to you.I even found a little Love for the well hated on by everyone Trivium.And most unforgiveable are a few track listing by the Nu-Metal as i would figure he would call them,Disturbed and System Of A Down. And if there is any doubt it is him scroll down his profile to the chat section where someone posts “All hail the chief editor of Metalsucks.net ” Just thought some might enjoy taking a look.

      Unfortunately, I do not have a last.fm (I’ve always been suspicious of sites with personal info like that). That is merely someone else who happens to like metal. Trust me, I’d have much more death and black metal in my charts if that was really me. Also, he claims to be 18, where as I am 20. And he’s apparently never been to a good death metal show besides Atheist, and no black metal shows. He’s got some good stuff on there, but not nearly true enough. Loving As I Lay Dying is a sin by the way. And I don’t like Symphony X nearly that much (too much cheese, even for a good band).

      And I hate that Stockhausen album that he was recently playing. Stocky did some good stuff, but that was awful.

        So,what explains the fact that someone is Al Hailing The Chief Editor Of MetalSucks on a page for someone conveniently named KBOOSE as mentioned above by your buddy? Pretty big presence of Anubis Gate on that list as well which seems to be one of your favorites….And the 18 years of age could be explained by the fact that the account history dates back a couple of years…..pretty big coincidence if it’s not you. Hard for me to believe there are 2 KBOOSE’s getting hailed for being Chief Editor of metalsucks.

        Where is this hailing that you speak of? I have used that name on a forum or two, but my use of the name is a spoof of the character from Red Vs. Blue (the name “caboose” was taken). And Anubis Gate is not one of my favorites, I just happen to like their last 2 albums. I wouldn’t play them THAT much! And he has the Pantera-esque band “Biomechanical” high up, and they’re awful (think Pantera + Dragonforce…ugh!). Wouldn’t age change automatically? I have no clue how the site works for registered users.

      I’d admit it if it were true, but that is simply not me. I do not use that website. I’ve noticed the picture change as well, so I guess the guy is online. All I can say is that it’s simply not me. I don’t even live in Iowa (And if I did, why would I go to a Dethklok show? I hate the whole lineup.), and I wouldn’t waste a night on Nile either (although I do live in NY, that’s just not worth my time, even for Immolation.).

        Because I hate it when people masquerade as me (i.e., the idiots who try using my username here), or when people think that someone else is me (i.e., this kboose). It’s just one of those things that really annoys me. Petty as this accusation may be, I shall never be associate with liking false metal. Srsly, although this kboose is obviously not me, we do share some similar artists (Vortech, Synestesia, Batillus), so he has to have some little bit of decent taste. He just mixes in lots of cheese and crap with it that I wouldn’t touch with a 10 foot pole.

            Yes, I do. I have already gotten in contact with someone, and he is doing an interview via email. Also, I have an actually decent satire written. otherwise, it’ll be some tr00 bands, some humor bands, and other tr00 metal stuff (i.e, proclaiming my glory, etc.). No clue on a number yet, but expect at least 4 (and I’m working on a bunch of others, but they won’t be submitted unless I’m happy with them). I’m planning for quality over quantity.

          Let me understand this Carter. Earlier in this thread you post of how Ziltoid suddenly enjoys all of these bands he supposedly hates on a profile that he has already told you, isn’t his. Regardless of the latter detail, how can you vouch that he even enjoys these bands? Because they are on his supposed last.fm?? Let’s say I have Pantera on my last.fm but I don’t like Pantera; I suddenly like them? What if I had never had Pantera, looked them up on last.fm, played a song or two of theirs. It registers to my library and therefore says Pantera is apart of my compatibility and taste. It’s deceiving and you are assuming which happens to make you like an ass.

      that is most certainly his. Within minutes of me calling that out and posting it on here a comment pretty much confirming it was removed and his picture changed. The coincidence in his playlist and his name have been discussed above,he went to the trouble of creating another last fm account to “argue and troll” KBOOSE(himself) and he tried to play off the Iowa location thing until i looked and posted the fact KBOOSE has been attending shows in NYC even though he is supposed to be from IOWA,and ziltoid under his own admission admitted he was from NYC before this was posted up. Every sign points towards this being him. It’s him he knows it him and so do most intelligent people reading this thread.

        Unfortunately, I do not have a last.fm (I’ve always been suspicious of sites with personal info like that). That is merely someone else who happens to like metal. Trust me, I’d have much more death and black metal in my charts if that was really me. Also, he claims to be 18, where as I am 20. And he’s apparently never been to a good death metal show besides Atheist, and no black metal shows. He’s got some good stuff on there, but not nearly true enough. Loving As I Lay Dying is a sin by the way. And I don’t like Symphony X nearly that much (too much cheese, even for a good band).

        And I hate that Stockhausen album that he was recently playing. Stocky did some good stuff, but that was awful.

      An idea for the next contest:

      There was a site I belonged to a LONG time ago that had a “points” system for their comments. Decent, thought-out comments were awarded several points (the more thought-out, the more points), while stupid, pointless comments were awarded negative points (comments like “you’re gay” dropped you several hundred points). These “points” could be used throughout the site to get things (for MetalSucks, maybe these could be entries into a contest?)

      Just a thought. It’d be a pain in the ass to moderate, and you’d have to set up profiles for each user, but it’d be interesting to see how it turned out.

    I am somewhat unsure of why people use this supposed, unproven to my knowledge (if someone has posted proof of it please correct me, as I didn’t see it while skimming this discussion) deletion of a comment on this alternate lastfm account as proof of anything; if you were mistaken for something totally different, wouldn’t you delete the comment as well? I know if someone posted a comment on a lastfm or facebook or what have you of mine about how I’m the owner of the Chicago Cubs, I’d delete it because it has no bearing on reality.
