Pretty good considering his normal musical outlet is a metal band. Seeing as the only other person I’ve heard do it is Pavarotti himself (which was quite an eye-opening performance, and one of the few enjoyable moments from my college music history class) it didn’t sound quite as good to me, since I know how great it can be.

Nessun Dorma is from an opera called “Turandot”.

While I’m familiar with the piece, I didn’t know that off the top of my head. I actually had to – brace yourself – look it up. GASP!

If you’re going to pretend you know something about opera, or whatever it is you’re writing about, take the five seconds and Google it. That’s why it’s there.

It’s cool to see Chris on a site like MS. I was good friends with the guys of Mutiny back when Samus (of Abigail Williams) was still drumming for them and AJ (the bassist) was doing lead vocals on top of bass. I miss Samus on drums, their new dude is a guido douchebag

Not bad. His diction was a bit off, but not surprising for a guy named Clancy. Some of the larger intervals in the high range seemed like they slipped into a metal falsetto and were a bit sharp maybe. He hit a bit flat in the beginning low notes too I think, but not bad for someone who isn’t a professional opera singer.

It’s cool that he can sing like that, but I wouldn’t say that it was amazing.
