Friendly reminder: as the winner of our best contest ever, MetalSucks reader Ziltoid will be running the site tomorrow, Friday, August 28. All stories will be written by him, and even the site’s slogan for the day was chosen by him.

Our regularly scheduled programming will resume on Monday, August 31.

    I would be excited, but ziltoid seems like a dick (lets hope he proves me wrong), and the only band i know he likes, cormorant, sucks (they are really fucking terrible). but he has bested me, and I congratulate him.

    I look forward to this very much; Ziltoid strikes me as quite the amusing fellow, for many reasons: he has more knowledge of metal than many people here, as evidenced by the fact that he has awareness of bands that aren’t famous (note this is no obscurity equates to quality argument, merely stating that he seems to know more bands than a lot of folks here), he seems level headed from his ability to not get flustered from the people here who mock him constantly, and he also seems able to write coherently without devolving into so-called “net speak” in every word.

    To be perfectly honest, I didn’t go on any hating spree (except for one). I just posted about bands that I happen to like. And Geometry. I posted about that as well. And a satire piece. I was busy this week, so I got the important stuff out of the way. I didn’t feel like wasting time hating on KSE or shit like that.

    But just HOPE that the MS guys got my special interview. My mail client was fucking up, but I think they got it. I re-sent it a few times just to be safe. The guy I interviewed was really interesting and had lots of great stuff to talk about. Really a classy guy. Look forward to it, it’s a great read regardless of whether you like the band )although you should love them as well), and give him all the credit for making it so.

      It was an email interview, and I was decently professional. But I just asked questions. His answers are REALLY long, REALLY detailed, and REALLY interesting. He’s a very well-spoken and classy guy.

    Since Ziltoid is probably one of the only other people I have ever known to mention bands like Kalisia, this should be an interesting day of posts indeed, not only from him, but all the people who seem to have a problem with his opinions.
