A new album is probably completed in pre-production phase, but still replacing two integral members of the band’s sound will put back DB quite some time, unless they’re going to hire session musicians.

To be fair, ‘In Sorte Diaboli’ only went an helped establish Dimmu as a major player in metal – it would’ve been top 20 in the UK but for some stupid rule regarding not being allowed to put a mirror within the packaging, or something. Also helped that the record kicked ass.

This’ll all be brushed under the carpet before long and there’ll be a new Dimmy record on the way.

Good he’s out, Dimmu is a sinking ship anyways and Lamented Souls and Arcturus are far more interesting. BTW I think I’m the only person that liked the last arcturus album.

I’d say Sham Mirrors is the most enjoyable, but Aspera Hiems Symfonia & La Masquerade Infernale are really good/great albums as well. AHS hasn’t aged very well, but I still love the hell out of “To Thou Who Dwellest in the Night”. LMI is a challenging listen, but well worth it when you’re up for the challenge. I didn’t really get into Sideshow Symphonies because Garm wasn’t the lead vocalist. I love his vocal work in Ulver.

I would somewhat agree. I can listen to all Arcturus’ albums, but Sham Mirrors is the only one I enjoy a bit.

I though I’d never see Arcturus ever mentioned on this website (outside of me and a select few others) tbqh.

Still, I doubt that anything as good as LMI or The Sham Mirrors gets any play in the “mansion,” considering the fact that you keep saying that you enjoy iwrestledabearonce.
