In a post about country singer Carrie Underwood’s cover of Skid Row’s “I Remember You,” Noisecreep’s Karen Bliss inadvertently (or perhaps advertently) stumbled upon a dead-on lookalike when she juxtaposed Taylor Swift’s photo (Swift has also covered classic metal songs as of late) with that of Sebastian Bach. Check out the above picture, taken directly from Noisecreep. WTF?
Reminds me of the classic blog Men Who Look Like Old Lesbians. Except Swift’s not old… and not a lesbian. Whatever.

My wife likes country music and I am subjected to it regularly in the car. For some reason there are 3 different country music stations in my area, all of which play the exact same thing, and she switches between them regularly (something else that drives me crazy). At any given time, at least one of those radio stations will be playing a Taylor Swift song. And she of course will stop and listen to it, even though it sounds just like all of Taylor Swift’s other songs.
That’s about the time that I try to go to my happy place. Oh, the things I do for love.
I used to be with a girl who’s favorite artist was Celine Dion, unfortunately this was one of several reasons we are not together anymore.
If I am going to spend a regular amount of time with someone, she at least has to be in the same range as far as musical interest as me.
Personally I would find having to listen to country music AT ANY TIME to be pure torture, so I salute you for your patience and compromising skills.
Back to the post…I am getting sick of seeing Bach.
To me he just seems like a colossal gasbag even though he has some amazing vocal output over the years, and goddamnit, Skid Row’s Subhuman Race was a great album.
Taylor Swift is cute, but I’ve heard some of her songs, and in my opinion she should find a new line of work.
I’m a lucky guy. My girlfriend listens to old punk on a regular basis, attends metal shows with me (she LOVED Warbringer) and hates what’s popular as much if not more than I do.
Well, my wife does like some Metallica, System Of A Down, and she actually introduced me to Nine Inch Nails, so it’s not all bad. And I love her, so that always helps.

Growing up in Kentucky means liking country music is more or less a must. I enjoy some every now and then. Mostly old stuff like Cash, Haggard, Hank Jr., Jennings, and Nelson.
