TWEET OF THE DAY (FROM SCOTT IAN)

Thursday, September 3rd, 2009 at 4:00pm by Axl Rosenberg

Presumably in response to Kerry King’s claim that “There’s better options than Anthrax [for a tour mate] and that’s nothing against Anthrax, but they’ve just been in pieces for quite some time and that doesn’t make as much sense to me,” Ian tweets:

Guess Kerry missed Sonisphere”

Does that mean John Bush is back for good? Pretty please with a cherry on top?

This tour is never fucking happening.

    KEEP THE FAITH ALIVE.

and I’d rather see Testament than Anthrax or Machine Head.

  2. I'm not racist, but I hate Oceano says:

    ITS ASS

  3. dlux says:

i’d wather listen to toddlers screaming and nails on a chalkboard than machine head.

  4. noobpotato says:

God i hope so, bush made anthrax twice as better alone at sonisphere. And yeah the tours as good as dead without anything fucking happening to it.

  5. ERiK says:

Bah, the tour would be huge. These guys are all about the money, and there is a lot of it to be made if they can just stay away from one another in their 5 star hotels every night. Let em talk all the shit they want, the only band that’s going to have a say in if this tour happens or not is Metallica. If Lars gives the green light, Dave, Kerry, and Scott are all going to say “Yes Sir”.

    • stu1 says:

Wouldn’t be any bigger than a normal Metallica tour. Those bands really don’t bring any other faces to the table, except for MAYBE a small percentage of people.

  6. Sammy says:

Wow, I’m finding myself siding with King on this one. Anthrax did just cancel most of their recent tour and have had some lineup issues for a while now, so what King says makes perfect sense.

  7. Hammer_Smashed_Hurtt says:

Guess Ian has missed the last couple of years of Anthrax’s relevance slipping away dicking around with lineup changes.

King is 100% correct in his statement. Fuck, do it like Clash of the Titans : Metallica, Megadeth, Slayer, Alice n Chains.(I know Metallica wasnt at C.O.T.T) IMO, AIC has earned it.

  8. Hammer_Smashed_Hurtt says:

And for the love of christ Axl, if you guys wanna hear good John Bush shit – whip out some Armored Saint not the ‘thrax.

    twitter is fucking stupid.

    • SourDeez says:

      Agreed.

Twitter Douche: “Hey, I just tweeted about bla bla bla.”

Me: “Hey, I just fucked your girlfriend.”

      • Bill says:

oh, look at me and all the interesting things i do a million times a fucking day. now i have this dumbshit little app that i can tell everyone about it on!! i don’t have any real friends to spew my nonsense to, so i’ll put it on the internet!! good thing i can only use limited characters because i’m too stupid to complete any rational and cohesive thought about something!! my opinions are vapid and pointless, so they’re best expressed in short form!!

        again, twitter is fucking stupid.

        • stu1 says:

It can be very interesting and informative if you following interesting and informative people/sources and not 14 year old girls. Great promotional tool, as well.

The Anthrax that was actually a part of the Big Four is long dead. There was that short revival with Belladonna, but then they realized that he was losing his voice. I don’t even like Belladonna’s voice, but the songs he was on kick ass and they’re the only ones even remotely associated with Big Four thrash. If they got John Bush back it would still only really be a Big Four tour if they only play songs from the Belladonna era, which I guess isn’t impossible to pull off, but highly unlikely.

  11. Mark says:

If this means Bush is back for good, I’ll murder them for cancelling Wacken. Nearly ruined the first day for me. Thank christ for Heaven & Hell…

  12. God Kerry King pisses me off. If he had half the talent the guys he bitches about did Slayer would be the best band in the world.
