JOHN BUSH TO PLAY ANOTHER ANTHRAX GIG

Yesterday, Scott Ian tweeted a response to Kerry King’s accusation that Anthrax have “been in pieces for quite some time.” The tweet pointed towards a recent, possible one-off reunion show with John Bush; I eagerly hoped it was a sign that Bush is coming back to the band for good.
Well, we still don’t know if he is or not. But we do know that he’s gonna do another gig with the ‘Thrax, this time at the Loud Park festival in Japan this October. (Interestingly enough, Slayer and Megadeth are also on the bill.)
I take that as a good sign that Bush is, indeed, negotiating (or something) to re-join Anthrax. But obviously we need to wait for some kind of official confirmation from the group.

I really respect John Bush and I’m a fan of his voice but it seemed like the apathy towards this line-up before fuelled the ill-fated reunion with Joey. I hope that doesn’t happen again, they can’t afford another fuck up.

John Bush is the only thing that would keep me real interested in Anthrax at this point. I really hope he comes back.
It would be funny if Anthrax is re-named “Anthrax featuring John Bush”. From now on on all the headlines, marquees, and tickets.
I would like to go to this festival and would appreciate it if metalsucks.com paid for it.

I am not the biggest Kerry King fan, he always comes across as kind of an ass in interviews, but I’m not sure how Scott Ian can aruge with King’s point, Anthrax HAS been ‘in pieces for awhile.’ And I hope Bush doesn’t come back, just cause they screwed him SO bad that it would be a shame to see him come back and potentially rescue them. If he does, I hope he gets a BIG chunk of change!!
