SHADOWS FALL FUCK UP JIMMY FALLON’S GREEN ROOM, SLAY HIS AUDIENCE

Below is video of Shadows Fall on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon last night. It’s an awesome performance of the new song “Still I Rise,” but unfortunately, it doesn’t show what might have been the best part of the show: our favorite Massholes completely destroying Fallon’s personal green room (NOT his guest green room) during a live, on-air promo right before they played. If anyone saw that – you should know that it was not staged, and no one on Fallon’s team (or The Shads’, as I understand it) had any idea what the band had planned (these promos usually consist of just waving to the camera and being boring). You can watch video of the band going all GN’R/Headbanger’s Ball on the green room’s ass here.

You might think Fallon was pretty pissed, but apparently he thought it was awesome and is only too-excited to have SF back on his show in the near future – the above photo was actually taken after the green room incident. So props to Fallon for being a cool dude.

Shadows Fall’s new album, Retribution, drops September 15 on Everblack Industries/Ferret.

    I can’t say that it was a great performance; they sounded off to me. Fair needs to just go back to screaming, bachand needs to knock off that gay singing and bring back the death metal growls, and Donais.. .well, he’s alright.

    Solid all around. Guaranteed that those who don’t like it fall into one of two categories: disliked SF to begin with; or want them to make the same album as the first every time they record a new one.

    Yeah, props go to Fallon for his willingness to put metal acts on his show – but no props to him for still being the unfunniest late night host (since Leno moved to not-that-late-night).

    I’m still waiting for the first lawsuit resulting from a Fair headbanging-induced, dread-caused eye injury.

      How about the 3rd category; people who think his vocals were pretty much off the entire time and the “harmonies” between him and the guitarist were waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay off.

        i hate that song, but they hit the harmonies pretty well. most of the time metal bands doing clean vocals on tv sound absolutely horrible, and these guys did a good job.

      i think they’re coming along nicely with their own formula of being melodic and heavy and somewhat technical at the same time. i like how their sound is still progressing, even though they could’ve just followed ‘the war within’ formula and made songs with riffs sounding like they came from the thrash and heavy metal era. like kilswitch engage, for example.

      BUT i think fallon’s doing great now. have you watched fallon lately? granted i wanted to punch his face when his show first started, but the last time i watched his show i found myself amused.

    Good video. This band has done nothing but try to put out the best records possible and has always been one of the most approachable bands in metal. I’ve never seen any one of these guys turn down talking to fans. Talk all the shit you want, “The Art Of Balance” at least will remain one of my favorite all time records. Plus Brian Fair bought me a beer at New England Metal Fest last year. How rad is that?

It’s too bad anyone even knew what was on his show. That guy was from SNL right?
