RAMMSTEIN GET “PUSSY”

This image came from a Rammstein fan e-mailer that MS Maniac Anthony Read forwarded to us. It’s an announcement of the song “Pussy” as Rammstein’s new single.

Now, some of the more dim-witted amongst you will undoubtedly have reactions akin to those of a second grader. Personally, I think the photo is awesome. It’s freaky as fuck, but in the best possible way – in fact, one of the best things about is that it’s sure to give homophobic metalheads the heebie jeebies. Sure, it’s Aphex Twin already did something really similar, but our freunde in Rammstein take it that much further than Richard D. James did.

I’m not really a big Rammstein fan, but this actually makes me wanna hear “Pussy.”

    I was into Rammstein a lot when I was younger, but honestly, this seems as much a cry for attention to the U.S. audiences as “Amerika” did. It’s getting kind of annoying.

    If you’re going to be German, stick to being German.

    Haha, that’s fucked up. Perhaps more fucked up than the ‘Mann Gegen Mann’ video, even. Can’t wait for new Rammstein, as these guys always manage to do something new with their music, and their music videos are brilliant.

    I’m also not a massive Rammstein fan but I do listen to them. Reise Reise is a fucking excellent record. But I think the thing that makes me come back to them now-and-again is shit like this. For a band who are incredibly popular in their home territory, it’s great to see them use such a subverse sense of humour to promote their stuff. It certainly shocks but it’s also just ridiculous at the same time and I’m sure they know this. Plus, it helps that they have some real crushing grooves going on. Keine Lust is just brilliant.
