GOOD MORNING! I’ve got good news, very good news, great news, and really great news. Ready? Okay, here we go:

  • GOOD NEWS: The Red Chord’s new album, Fed Through the Teeth Machine, now has cover art (above) and an official release date of October 27, once again via Metal Blade. Some people don’t care about a new Red Chord album. Those people are kinda dopey, and probably look like this. No, dude, don’t take it personally, I’m totally not making any judgments. I’m just saying you’re an idiot if you don’t like The Red Chord.
  • VERY GOOD NEWS: This means that the opportunity for a new interview with a member of The Red Chord will soon arise. On a very selfish level, this makes me happy, because those dudes just give amazing fucking interviews. If you don’t believe me, go here, here, and/or here.
  • GREAT NEWS: The Red Chord are streaming a new song from this album, “Demoralizer,” on their MySpace page. And holy shit, is it awesome. Listen to that intro, man. That shit is epic. And then the band just goes OFF. I know we always say it’s wrong to claim that music made you do bad shit, but, seriously, this music makes me wanna do bad shit. So maybe I like, I dunno, owe a couple of serial killers an apology or whatever.
  • REALLY GREAT NEWS: Your mom called this morning. She says that last night The Red Chord Triple G Maphia (that would be Gunface, Guy and Greg) all rolled by her crib last night and had their way with her, and that she loved every second of it. So, y’know. That was probably pretty nice for her.

    That artwork is terrible, and so is the song. When did they turn into the Acacia Strain? Last album was a snoozer. these guys are done. At least they gave us “Fused..”

      I hate to admit it but that song reminded me of The Acacia Strain as well. I’m still looking forward to hearing the rest of the album though.

        not to pick on the red chord in particular, but what the fuck happened to having drums in death metal that actually sounded like real drums? i, too, loved “fused…” but haven’t liked anything since then. i absolutely hate the way that modern death metal drums are produced and recorded. it ruins the whole experience for me.

    I must be in the minority here so; love BTBAM, love Dillinger; but can’t get into these guys – have listened to clients and prey for eyes and it just doesn’t do it for me; having said that, the new song posted on their myspace is probably the best thing I have heard from them
