DESCEND INTO DEPRAVITY WITH DYING FETUS

You would think that the new album from a band called Dying Fetus would have funnier song titles. I’m not judging their music, mind you. Nor am I disregarding the fact that a few thousand thirteen year old boys are about to actually go pull the dictionary off their parents’ shelves so they can look up words like “coercion” and “insurrection.” (I imagine that pretty much every kid immediately understands the basic concept behind “Fucked with a Knife.”) I’m just surprised that a band with such a vivid moniker doesn’t trade in songs called “Montezuma’s Revenge in Your Eye Sockets” or “Disgorged from My Dick” or whatever.
So. Funny song titles or no, Dying Fetus have a new album coming out this Tuesday on Relapse. It’s called Descend into Depravity, and it’s streaming, in full, right now. So once you’ve listened to Endgame a few dozen times and you’re ready for something new, head over here to stream the record. It’s very heavy, pretty traditional American death metal. It’ll put hair on your chest.

Amazing. Enough said.
Dino Cazares’ favorite band?
Dying fetus, crying “eat us!”
Max Payne?
eerr gerr merr purr deerr RAAAHH
sick tunes though
Great album, these guys are so consistent it’s incredible, plus they don’t do the usual blood and gore death metal, their lyrics are pretty thought provoking, even if you don’t agree with their politics (they’re definitely left wing). Anyway, great band, great record…
Good music,. horrible cover.
I’ve tried to get into this band. Alot. I just can’t I dont know why :(
Death metal album of the year? They are a effin 3 piece… Amazing stuff, love it!
First time I heard these guys was on Grotesque Impalement and I thought it was a joke band. I came to my senses. They own and their live set sounds exactly like the cd (unlike so many others).
They were much better when Jason Netherton, Kevin Talley and Sparky Voyles were in the band. I’ll take Misery Index.
I’m always going to love older Fetus with that lineup you mentioned above. But these new guys can hold their own, and plus Sean is quite close to Netherton’s vocals. Either way love both bands, can’t wait to get this and new BDM on Tuesday.
I never could get into them for some reason. Never felt inclined to say they sucked…but they never interested me.
