HERE COMES THE HEADCRUSHER (VIDEO, THAT IS)

Friday, September 11th, 2009 at 10:15am by

Our pals at Noisecreep debuted the new Megadeth video this morning, for the single “Headcrusher.” It’s not a great video – the whole concept kinda strikes me as having been done to death at this point. But it is a great song.

Megadeth’s Endgame comes out this Tuesday on Roadrunner.

Yeah, general concept is getting overdone but you almost have to expect a sort of MMA related type video from them at some point, they probably got the idea after Playing that concert at the big Affliction mma event this past year. After playing that show it was almost already set in stone they would end up doing a video like that. Good song though and i gotta say Chris Broderick has brought new life back to this band.

    Another stupid mma video.

However I took a listen to the new album yesterday and I was really pleasantly surprised. It’s really freakin good!

I’d let her kick me ass anyday.

I like that idea for real life. But if the prisoner wins, kill them anyway.

It’s funny how Broderick is trying to pretend he has a hard time playing that stuff, and fails at it, hahaha. Seems like nothing is hard for that man.

The video was cool until the girl came out and it was just like… Ok, give a fan service to all the teen boys. The song was badass, and Broderick’s solo fit perfectly and sounded badass, i’d say he’s the perfect fit if megadeth wants to become pertinent again.

see, this is where Metal Sucks, literally.
What I don’t understand is – how come a lot of bands with obviously very talented musicians, like Mustaine, cannot for the live of them come up with a good video – seriously, this is beyond embarrassing and one of the reasons why metal sometimes just sucks.
there are so many talented film directors out there – no need for some cheesy ass 80s arnold schwarzenegger film rip off plus look at me playing guitar rubbish – we all know you can dude you don’t need to show me in a britney spears type music video.
    fucking sucks.

Fuck, metal musicians suck at video production.

      Fuck Metal.

Great song and I thought the video wasn’t that bad. I generally don’t watch videos so I had no idea that there were a lot of MMA themed vids out there. Whatever, I thought this one was cool and the song rules…so does the album.

Looks like they pulled a Five Finger Death Punch.

I’m sure glad that people on this website are really liking this album. I didn’t care for this song when I first heard it but it grows on you and the rest of the album is really good too.

I too think Chris Broderick brought new life back in to Megadeth. Not just because he’s an amazing guitar player but because I think he woke up that beast of a lead and rhythm writer that Mustaine is. I’m dying to read the Metalsuck review.

dave mustain is wearing a cardigan in the performance shots: either he’s old or the crdigan is now metal as fuck

  • aristofo

Eh, Dave Mustaine is pretty cool guy, rips on Kerry King and doesnt afraid of anything…

The video is stupid. The song is ok. The record is sub-par. The new Slayer record is going to be WAY better.

  • thebasspro

this album is amazing after all these years they never went to far down that dreaded metallica fuckup road, and this album is back where megadeth should be.
