Ah, that sounds a LOT more reasonable now. I understand not wanting to take what Cobain said at face value, but there’s no doubt fame affected him – enough to drive him to suicide?

and yeah, I’m generally fine with advertising as long as it doesn’t detract from the art itself. Vertigo not being too serious, it worked fine with the iPod ads – but naturally I’m glad they turned down Toyota ads wanting to use Where the Streets Have No Name.

No, Grohl does not need a payday. He gets a pretty big fucking payday every time Foo Fighters plays a concert and every time they release a record. Not to mention his other band Them Crooked Vultures. Nor does Krist Noveselic, seeing as how he doesn’t give two shits about money (the man lives in a business-less rural town in Washington in his three bedroom house with wife and kids). They simply allow the music of Nirvana to be used because, believe it or not, they actually want more generations to hear and be inspired by their dead friend.

Courtney, however, just wants more money to wipe her filthy cunt with in her three houses in New York City, Hollywood, and London.
