People on this site complain so much about Lamb of God, but you gotta hear Linkin Park and 3 Doors down and then you’ll truly know the meaning of bad music.
Lamb of God will never have a song in a Geico caveman commercial or collaborate with Jay Z and sell millions of records, so no, they’re not as bad as 3 Doors Down and LP.
I was 11/12 years old when nu-metal was really big, and I can’t lie, I was really into Hybrid Theory. It was my favorite album for about a year. In fact, if I hadn’t liked Hybrid Theory so much when I was growing my first pubes, I probably never would have started listening to Megadeth and Iron Maiden in 8th grade. Shit, I was 12. Middle school is rough, man. Having to deal with teachers telling you to watch your language, learning about Mesopotamia, receiving a pitiful allowance, having to make anti-smoking posters even though you smoke, being supervised when you’re trying to get some action at a dance, having to take the bus to school every day, eating mystery meat for lunch, sounding like Daffy Duck when you try to talk, yup there’s no two ways around it, middle school is some SHIT!
That being said, watching this and looking back on LP as a junior in college really drives home the point that Linkin Park really is music for people 14 and under. For me, once I actually had to start dealing with real problems I stopped wanting to hear people being pissed off about their own problems, especially over power chords and DJ scratching. That’s when I became hungry for real riffs and A-level musicianship. The guys in LP are actually talented writers…….of music for angry teenagers. And I really mean that, sure they’re lame but when you compare Hybrid Theory to most other teen angst nu-metal it’s a much less smelly turd.
You were being sarcastic about junior high being tough right? That all the those horrible little things were really hard to deal with and TRULY affected you as a 12 year old?
LOL! I love this video, my friend showed it to me last summer… The best and most truthful part is “is your CD on repeat… (You can’t tell…)”

Don’t worry…Lamb of God is just as bad as Linkin Park and 3 Doors down.
Lamb of God will never have a song in a Geico caveman commercial or collaborate with Jay Z and sell millions of records, so no, they’re not as bad as 3 Doors Down and LP.
