WHEN METAL AND WEED UNITE
Tuesday, September 15th, 2009 at 3:30pm by Vince Neilstein
The fine metal journalism institution Metal Inquisition has done it again with an in-depth look at the union of our two favorite pastimes: metal and weed. We like to think that these two pleasures go together like two nuts in a sack, but Metal Inquisition proves otherwise; Six Feet Under, Black Label Society, Dope and others illustrate that when bands mix weed into their metal, the results aren’t always as desired. Read the two posts here and here.
We’ll still be the two dudes getting high at the back of the metal show.

I can’t really think of two better things in life.
I mean, Lil Wayne had it right too though: pussy, money, weed. But fuck him, he’s lame.
Oh boy, another metalsucks posting about weed………
Right, I think they chose metalsucks for the site ’cause high times was already taken.
I love metal and I like weed. They can most definitely go together, but sometimes they don’t so well. I just can’t stand when people that take weed smoking waaaaay too seriously. Also, I’m not a big fan of that Metal Inquisition site. After looking around on it for a while it seems like a whole lotta nothin’ if you ask me.
i agree, metal inquisition seems like it’s run by some retard who doesn’t think twice before posting something. for example, the comment on cephalic carnage’s ‘kill for weed’ just goes to show that they haven’t listened to shit but their myspace…
*cues up killdozer’s “the pig was cool”*
I still prefer my metal(and life) without weed.
Kudos to that.. Never touched it..never will.. Fuckin stoners
Metal >>>>>>> weed.
Concurred, brother, pot (and any other drug) is for the weak willed.
metal is my weed. I can get really fuckin high by just listening to metal. metal=best drug in the world.
Yes…that is all
oh, shut the fuck up, charles.
What were we talking about?
I always envy people who are more creative after smoking piff. I remember an interview with Brent Hinds where he said “The first thing I do before I even pick up a guitar is smoke some weed”. That just shows how great of a guitarist he is. When I get stoned, I lose all musical skill. I come up with some good riffs, but I can’t organize or structure anything to save my life. And as for stage performance, I can’t even imagine getting up in front of hundreds or even thousands of people stoned. I don’t even like making phone calls when I’m high. If there’s anything I’ve learned in my short time on this planet, it’s to save your weed for downtime. But I guess some people can pull anything off while zooted.
