I remember an interview with Brent Hinds where he said "The first thing I do before I even pick up a guitar is smoke some weed". That just shows how great of a guitarist he is. When I get stoned, I lose all musical skill. I come up with some good riffs, but I can't organize or structure anything to save my life. And as for stage performance, I can't even imagine getting up in front of hundreds or even thousands of people stoned. I don't even like making phone calls when I'm high. If there's anything I've learned in my short time on this planet, it's to save your weed for downtime. But I guess some people can pull anything off while zooted.
