CHILDREN OF BODOM, JUST CHILLIN’, PLAYIN’ SOME CREEDENCE

Yesterday I wondered aloud, what Children of Bodom covering Creedence Clearwater Revival would sound like? And now I have my answer.

Here’s the video for “Lookin’ Out My Back Door.” It comes off the band’s new cover album, Skeletons in the Closet, which drops September 23 on Spinefarm.

    This goes back to the Kerry King/Killswitch Engage debate about whether it’s okay to have fun and be silly or just scowl and be as scary as possible all the time. I like that they gave this song the CoB treatment.

    While we are talking about cover tunes, I was on Gojira’s page earliier today to see if they have added any additional tour dates and heard a cover they posted of Metallica’s Escape. Pretty cool if anyone wants to go check it out.

    1) This is fucking awesome
    2) id rather a new bodom album than a bunch of covers that have, for the most part, already been released on other EPs and singles. and even if they hadnt/havnt, id still rather a new bodom album

    I love COB, and think this a fun cover. Alexi’s voice doesn’t work at all for this song, but it’s still fun (not “amazing” or “elegant”)….nice work

    Now this is not *entirely* related to the subject at hand, but I’m planning on going on down to Kat Von D.’s tattoo studio in Hollywood and having the lyrics “I refuse to be brought down by you” tattooed onto my person.     The original song is still fucking incredible but hell this is just fun and silly and metal as fuck. I’ll never understand the COB hate they’re still a great fucking band that knows how to put on a killer show and have a ton of fun making music.
