RE-MIX ONE OF THE BEST ALBUMS OF THE YEAR, WIN SOME SHIT
Tuesday, September 22nd, 2009 at 3:30pm by Axl Rosenberg
I hadn’t listened to Coalesce’s Ox in a bit, so I threw it on again this weekend, and holy shit. Why did so much good music come out this year? How the fucking fuck am I supposed to narrow all this shit down to just ten albums? Fuck you, brilliant musicians!!!
But I digress. Ox. It’s killer. And now Coalesce is giving fans a chance to re-mix some of the album to win some cool shit. The band says:
“www.indabamusic.com/featured_programs brings you to the Featured Programs page. Click on the Coalesce banner to go to the Coalesce Featured Session. If you’re not yet a member, click Signup in the top right corner of the page. Provide your name, email and a password and you’ll soon be a member! Once you’re a member, you can Ask to Join. After you are accepted into the session, you can make comments, record, edit or upload a mix and more. To start a mix using Indaba’s online recording software, click Record, Edit, Mix. This will launch the Session Console. To access to the files for download, click on View All in the files section on the right. In the actions bar next to each track, you can select download. And then you can go ahead and mix the tracks using your own music software. Happy collaborating!”
Prizes include a chance to have your re-mix featured on Coalesce’s MySpace page, signed CDs, vinyls, t-shirts, yadda yadda yadda. It barely matters: this is one of those times when I think it’ll just be fun to fuck around with the music, win or lose.
Go here to get started.

soooooo free coalesce songs?
I’ve really enjoyed their tour blogs for MetalInjection (when they can get around to writing them, I mean). MS and MI both got me listening to these guys, so thanks again, y’all.
One of the best albums of the year and no doubt the comeback story of the year. Great band.
You forgot the “beardo” tag on this one
i’m all over this like white on rice.
btw, did any of you dudes happen to see the episode of judge judy that sean ingram was on? it was kind of disappointing. plus, he lost. :(
Is it just me, or did alot of the songs actually have guitars hard panned one side, and bass hard panned the other? I haven’t heard a mix like that since the early ramones stuff! Awesome album, and awesome production!
Ox isn’t one of the best albums to come out this year.
It’s one of the best album’s to come out this decade.
