Oh, and nearly forgot to mention to you: Look up GojiraFan15 on YouTube to find some pro-shot videos of Gojira at Garorock 2009. And do it fast: They’re videos with a certain media conglomerate’s logo in the upper left-hand corner, which means they won’t be up for long before they’re taken down.

Totally wish I knew how to rip vids off of YouTube so I could have these to keep before they’re taken down, but I’m doing good just to know how to turn my computer on and ripping flash player vids would require more skills than my life’s worth. *pouts*

Thanks! Bill could not have been cooler or more gracious. He spent a few minutes talking about the tour with Metallica over the summer and talked about how he was stoked to see Burst. Definitely looking forward to seeing Mastodon again on Nov. 5th, and I’m going to try and stay somewhat sober so I can recall some of their show this time around.

I can’t link it from work, but look on YouTube for Metal Mark’s interview with Joe before the ATL show. (9/24/2009, I think/) Joe said they have material for another DVD, but that they’re in no rush to put it out just yet. And I agree, it IS an amazing DVD. Imagine what they’ll do with the next!!

I’ve seen them twice with in the last year span and they have always tore the roof off of both venues. I saw them last october with In Flames, and needless to say I think their support set was better. Then I saw them in June and they headlined with Car Bomb (win!) and The Chariot (ugh) and they played two encores. Fucking incredible live show.

Was just reading a review of the Metallica/LOG/Gojira show in Nashville and this is what the critic had to say: “Considering they were fairly obscure about a year ago, it felt surreal to see Gojira in the Sommet Center. Visibly excited vocalist Jospeh Duplantier stated between songs, “We’re opening for Metallica, fucking crazy.” They utilized the massive stage to great effect, but the songs fell surprisingly flat. This is probably less the fault of the performance and more of our overestimating them in the first place.”

Give me a fucking break.
