YOU CAN PLAY BRUTAL LEGEND RIGHT NOW (SORT OF)!

MY FELLOW NERDY GAMERS: Brutal Legend, the heavily anticipated metal-themed video game starring Jack Black, has a demo that is now available for download on Xbox Live for Gold Members. Being a Gold Member myself, I fully intend to get right and play the living shit outta that demo as soon as I’m done writing sarcastic blogs about metal for the day.

Alas, no word on whether or not the demo is going to be made available to PS3 users. But since I don’t have a PS3, I’m just gonna give a Nelson-esque “HA HA!” to those poor bastards and move on with my life.

Brutal Legend hits stores October 13. Everything I’ve heard thus far leads me to believe it’s gonna be a lot of fun.

    I played through it already. Seems like it’s going to be a fun game. Just the fact that “Children of the Grave” is playing as soon as you begin the game is pretty awesome right off the bat. And if you like Jack Black, you’ll definitely dig this game.

    I downloaded it but won’t get to play it until tonight. I have low expectations though. I’m over Jack Black, and I hear the multiplayer is a cross between hack-and-slash and RTS? Neither is my cup of tea, but perhaps my love of metal will win out…

    Played it on my PS3 last week with a pre-order early access card. I can’t try it on the 360 yet as I don’t want a Gold Membership. Seems like it’s going to be a pretty good game. It’s got some good comedic moments. It should be available to all PS3 owners on October 1st.
