I want to make one last point about the cover and perceived homophobia. I understand there have been
a few guys here unhappy with my opinions which led to speculation about my sexual orientation, alleged pretense and overall douchebaggery. LOL. All I have to say is this: You guys are all missing something
VERY obvious.

Gary pointed out that homophobes are often known to use “f**** in a derogatory way”. In other words
calling someone homo as an insult.

Now to the cover. It is clearly SATIRE. In other words it’s making fun of somebody. The implication is that some toughguy, meatheaded gym dweller is a fudge packer. So yeah the cover is actually using
“f**** in a derogatory way.”

This means that anyone who likes it is a homophobe and actually in the closet themselves. Meanwhile, me, the one guy that did NOT like the homophobic cover is actually a champion of civil rights! Woo Hoo!

I would have to agree with you about most punk rock. Some of the only punk I DO enjoy is the type that isn’t so self-important. The early Misfits are fun, because they’re singing about zombies and martians and eating brains. To me that says “Look, we know we’re not exactly geniuses and we don’t know too much about the world and we only know five chords but we can make something fun out of it”. Bad Brains are also great because they actually play thoughtful music. As for the political shit, fuck that. I don’t want any message shoved down my throat over power chords, let alone a hastily formed, poorly written message. Most punks who talked about fighting some power never actually had to face that “power”. They’re just like rappers who grew up middle class and rap about the hard street life when they’ve never spent time in a ghetto.

This difference between me and someone being pretentious
is that I am putting in no extra effort then I would ussually use. This is
how I’ve allways written. So there is no over-acheiving outward
show like you keep claiming. It’s hard to make a case that I am
putting this on when it’s the way I allways am no matter what.

The truth is for all you know I could be
even MORE intelligent then I appear on the internet. For all you know I
might have toned it down just for you! Of course you’ll chime in about

I don’t know what is more sad. The fact that you clearly changed the

pretentious) or the part where you actually think my feelings will

For the record, I have fucking hated punk rock since elementary school. I listened to the Exploited, Sex Pistols, Iggy Pop and the Stooges and shit like that growing up. Once I found bands like Slayer, Testament, Exodus and so on I never looked back. Only looked forward to the next extreme metal band to out do the last.
