HOW ABOUT ME AND YOU AND YOU AND ME IMAGINE THAT YOU SHUT THE FUCK UP?

Yes, that is John Locke on that poster. No, he will not be in the remake, too. He fired his agents and now he has nothing to show for it. Sorry.

Generally speaking, I like Filter very much. And I have a lot of respect for Richard Patrick. I thought that Army of Anyone was awesome. And that dude can really belt it live.

But Filter’s cover “Happy Together” by The Turtles is so bad, only Within Temptation fans could ever possibly enjoy it. (Although, in all fairness, it’s from the soundtrack for the remake of The Stepfather. So at least its pedigree wasn’t misleading.)

It is already my least favorite Filter recording, ever. And, yes, I’m including that terrible song about waking up naked on an airplane. Yes, I know that cute girls like that song. Those same girls like “Semi Charmed Kind of Life.” Disregard them as possible sexual mates.

In conclusion: someone please speed along the process of Scott Weiland having a fatal overdose and let’s get that second Army of Anyone record goin’ already.

And to think Filter have had some of their best material (even if it was a cover) on Soundtracks.

Filter are a much more important band than anyone ever seems to give them credit for. If it weren’t for Richard Patrick then Nine Inch Nails wouldn’t be the band they are today; after all when Reznor was told to tour Pretty Hate Machine it was Patrick’s suggestion that instead of sticking with just the synths that it all be transposed onto a full band.

that has nothing to do with filter’s music… which is awful

It’s not awful but it is a mixed bag, with some really good songs coupled with some reach for the skip button tracks, but overall they’re better than a lot of the current ‘popular/trendy’ shit that get’s rammed down your ears without your consent

“hey man, nice shot” is one of the best songs of the 90s.

man filter is such a great band, most of their songs have a perfect atmospheric sound that is hard to find in other bands, just liseng to “you walk away from me” or Im leading you

I’m a massive Filter fan and i was pumped to hear they had some new stuff up. Until about half way through when I stopped listening.
I think that might be the first time i’ve given up on a filter song.
Let’s hope the new album’s a massive return to form. Not saying “Damned” wasn’t good – but nothing has touched the overall brilliance of “Title”. I’ll be happy if he gets close to that with the new one. Less radio rock. More Welcome to the Fold epicness.
