In reality, though, Brian is actually a pretty chill dude. Seriously. Would an angry monster give away free shit over Twitter? Of course not. But Brian is. Says the Shadows Fall front man himself:
“I wanted to let everyone know that for the rest of the tour I will be using my Twitter and Facebook account for daily giveaways for each show of this tour. Each show day at 3PM local time I will be posting instructions or a code word. By following the instructions or using the code word some lucky fans that are attending that night’s show get FREE STUFF. The quantities will be extremely limited so make sure you check out the posts, then get to the show early and get yourself some free stuff!! Can’t wait to see you at the show.”

Monday night at their Colorado Springs show, on my way out of the door to walk out on 5FDP, I saw Brian at the bar so I shook his hand and kissed his cheek to thank him for an awesome show. I can now attest that his whiskers are surprisingly soft. *sigh* Oh, AND his dreads are as long as I am tall. Crazy. He was doing windmills in The Black Sheep with that low-hanging ceiling and his dreads kept getting caught in the rafters. He finally just said screw it, climbed the rafters like monkey bars and hung over the audience like on a jungle gym. Their show made me want to swing from the rafters, too, dammit. The thought was there to get up there with him, but I figured I wouldn’t get to finish the show because security would have thrown me out and spoiled my fun.
For once I’m glad that my bud is far more forgiving than myself and wanted to give 5FDP a shot; otherwise, I would have left right after SF and not stayed and met Brian and, I believe, Jonathan. I waited to get their new album until the show, so I could get it from their merch and support them better. I’ve been switching off between it and the new AiC ever since.
Oh, yeah, and awesome contest.
I’m not crazy about shadows fall, but every time I’ve met that guy he’s been so nice. Always takes time out to talk to people, and not just “yea thanks..” but have full conversations and stuff. And shadows fall is always fun live..
Yeah he is so nice. I met him and I got a photo with him at a show he did with Korn this summer. it was funny cause I had to asked this pretty blond girl he was talking with to take it. I did’t even know at the time but it was a famous model my boyfriend at the time was crazy about. So he got a photo with her after

I can’t marry all the artists I like and have absolutely no inclination to even try. No idolization on my part, just giving credit where it’s due to a class act. Glad you agree they’re a great band.
