METAL INJECTION INTERVIEWS PIG DESTROYER AND DECIBEL MAGAZINE’S ALBERT MUDRIAN
Tuesday, October 6th, 2009 at 11:37am by Axl RosenbergThis summer’s ridiculously hot but still awesome Blackened Music Series show with Brutal Truth, Pig Destroyer and Repulsion was, technically speaking, a book release party for Precious Metal, a book collected Decibel’s awesome Hall of Fame series in one classy edition. That fact got kind of overlooked as the world celebrated such an incredible grind show taking place, but there ya have it. It’s a really cool book and you should buy it.
So. Our friends from Metal Injection were on hand, and not only did they interview the dudes gods from Pig Destroyer, but they also snagged an interview with Albert Mudrian. In addition to being the editor-of-chief of the Decibel, Albert wrote Choosing Death, which is pretty much the definitive history of death and grind. In other words: the guy knows his shit.
Here’s MI’s interview with Albert. As a metal-writing nerd, I found it fascinating. And don’t forget to head over to Metal Injection to watch the Pig Destroyer interview, too (they also have plenty of ass-rippingly good live footage from the show). ‘Cause, y’know. It’s fucking PIG DESTROYER.

When doing an interview be sure to check your iphone 17 times.
(maybe he had his notes on there, maybe)
Apple Injection?
checking his phone. what a douche.
teknallegady iz gud
I know it’s your job as commenters to have snarky remarks on whatever content is being posted but you see, on the iPhone, there is a nifty app called “Notes” which allows you type words into it, even questions, like say if you had to do an interview, you can come up with questions and put them in there. And the crazy thing about it is, once they are in there, you can check back and they are still there. Even while doing an interview. Technology these days, right kids?
Don’t hate the player, had the game!

Good interview, Rob. Albert seems like a good dude, and his magazine is top notch.
I would say he was using the iPhone for notes. There’s an app for that, ya know.
Very cool interview.
rob, you do killer interviews. and you’ve done interviews with some really shitty interviewees and held it up for us the whole time without using notes. you’re clearly smart and talented enough to not need notes.
so i don’t buy it, but i’m just some fucking guy.
On a side note, I love Pig Destroyer…and Albert…and Rob…
Decibel is my favorite “analog blog” :P
“Choosing Death” was a great read, and I am now reading “Precious Metal”, and always enjoy the Hall of Fames in Decibel! Keep up the great work Albert and Decibel!! (you too, Rob!) \m/
