We’ve been talking about The Destro’s new record Harmony of Discord for weeks already, so by now you’ve probably made up your mind as to whether or not you like their no-bullshit approach to metal. Horrible cover art, but the music is nice and brutal, the way I like it. It’s all about the tone.
I don’t understand why these guys have been getting fluffed so hard. Nothing near noteworthy, imo.
Listened to 5 songs, and they all sounded like watered-down versions of much better bands. Take away the “brutal” vocals and all you have is a shitty CROWBAR rip-off.

yea, have to agree with most of the posters, nothing special here, not bad, wouldn’t walk out on them if they were the opening band at a show, wouldn’t turn it off at a party, but wouldn’t go out of my way to buy this or go see them…

All the negative comments towards this band are due to one reason and one reason only… Straight up lack for taste in music… I’m sure all of you like bands like Attack Attack who wear V-neck shirts all the time and cry about losing their 18 year old girlfriends… The Destro play what comes from their heart and soul…… Anyone who judges a band off of being influenced by some of the best music to ever be recorded; Crowbar, Soilent Green, Napalm Death, and many others obviously has a bigger agenda then just not liking this band… Here is some advice to all who judge anything, especially music, stop being such a bitter asshole all the time.. stick to beating your wives in your trailer parks, upgrade from dial up to dsl, and stop wasting everyones’ time. If you don’t like it, who cares, cause I know they don’t. They have respect from many great artists and a line around the block of great followers. They will shred your face off and drink you under the table no matter what the event is… Get ouit and see this band… and buy Poppin Fresh a whole glass of 151..

Guess what… All those bands above are also heavily influenced by some earlier bands and i’m pretty sure most posters here would say those bands are good and still acknowledge that they’ve big influences too.
Here the thing with the destro is not “are they heavily influenced” or “are they passionate/true about their music”, but rather “do they put out good music, and if they are heavily influenced by some other band, do they use that influence in a good way”. That’s it.
Yeah maybe some of our comments are harsch but there’s some truth in what we said :
1) they’re are heavily influenced by sludgy bands a la Crowbar / Soilent Green / ….
2) some of us like, or even love those sludgy bands (me included)
3) we just think that Destro’s music is not very exciting, which is not the case with Crowbar/Soilent Green
4) and that’s fine because YOU will still enjoy the band’s music, and hope the band members like their own songs too
5) and most of us LOATHE Attack Attack and that kind of crap :) except for a laughing purpose :)

Stereotypical as it may be the fact is you’re all dumb fucks, have been dumb fucks for a long time, and will remain dumb fucks for the remainder of your poor shitty lives… I have standards in music and The Destro covers them all… Just like you and the rest of the internet nation I have an opinion.. Metal Sucks happens to agree with me on this matter… And the best part is out of all of this at the end of the day The Destro gets the press so I’ll just keep pouring gasoline on the fire.. Preciate it… October 13th is a great day for music.. Baroness and The Destro standing side by side just like the old days in G.I. Joe….
I’m like 60% sure your’e apart of The Destro, and if you are:
-The new album kicks major ass
-Your’e a really dumb person. People are gonna hate this (your) band. Get over it. I’ll continue to listen my music. You’ll continue to listen to your music. They’ll continue to listen to their music. It’s all in good fun, there’s no point of (for whatever reason) telling someone they beat their wives and live in trailer parks, or even worse, like Attack Attack!, just because they find The Destro boring. Get over it.

Number 1 The Destro is one of the best heavy bands out today. There are truley in your face metal and should be treated as such. If Ashlee Simpson is something u think rocks than rock on. But dont insult a band that works real hard.
