IN WHICH WE EMBARKED ON A MAGICAL MYSTERY TOUR
Friday, October 9th, 2009 at 8:33pm by Vince NeilsteinIt was a fuckin’ busy week, no? Either shit was crazy this week or I’ve really got to get outside of the MS Mansion more often. Here’s what went down:
- We announced a Winter U.S. tour featuring four bands TBA, and we revealed them day by day via anonymous interviews. So far we’ve revealed Mutiny Within, Arsis and Exodus (click the band name for the interview). Who will the headliner be? Read the interview here and try to guess.
- Eyal got burnt out on the music he loves and explained the financial realities of being a metal musician.
- We spoke with 3 Inches of Blood’s Shane Clark and White Wizzard’s Erik Kluiber.
- Horse the Band’s Lord Gold blogged about being bored on tour.
- We argued about drum triggering in metal.
- We streamed the asshole-ripping new record by The Destro and a webisode from Steel Panther.
- We said goodbye to Evile bassist Mike Alexander. R.I.P.
Ax and I are going to see 3 Inches of Blood in Brooklyn tonight, so hopefully that’ll provide just the head-clearing I need. See you guys Monday.

You forgot about the amazingness which I graced onto this site… as of which was Vivian Black :)
I still wanna know why it’s perfectly legal for me to check a cd out from the library and copy it to my computer, yet it’s illegal to download the same album off a filesharing website.
Libraries have cd’s?
Yea, what the fuck? Do I need to go get myself a library card now?
All my local libraries have a pretty big cd selection…that’s why I got my first library card since I was 6 last time I went. Got Odelay by Beck and Big Guns by Rory Gallagher, not much of a metal section though. I think Number Of The Beast is the only metal cd I’ve ever seen there.
I’m seeing 3IOB tomorrow. How was the show?
Seeing them Monday, not tomorrow.
Wow, how was Three Inches of Blood? I have to watch them open tonight for Slipknot’s makeup concert here in Washington. Interesting choice on Slipknot’s part, in my opinion.
Vince, Axl…..
Let’s get some coverage for Brutal Legend next week eh? I just played the demo and it is very very good
(coming from Tim Shafer I’m not surprised but hey).
Hey MS! You forgot something that also happened last week:
“We leaked the new Converge album. But go buy it anyway, cuz it’s awesome.”
