RUN TO THE HILLS… OF MEXICO?

I don’t think you could call this mariachi… I’m not sure what to call it. It’s Iron Maiden, it’s mariachi-ish sounding, and it’s in Spanish. Unfortunately it isn’t very well done… but it’s good for a chuckle. Can any fluent Spanish speakers tell us if the words are an accurate translation?

The words aren’t an accurate translation and that isn’t even close to mariachi-ish sounding

the idea of the song is the same, but they have changed the words to make it funny to the listener, so you wont probably enjoy it as I did

the part at 45 sec is hilarious

Yeah… the words are not an accurate translation of the original… basically tells the story of a dude who has to go to another town in search for a legal table dance club.

And the genre of the music is called ” duranguense ” a sub genre of popular music in Mexico, mosty popular in the states of the north of the country. ( Durango, hence the name of the subgenre ), Nvo Leon, Tamaulipas, Chihuahua and Sinaloa.

Which is a cancer here in Mexico. I mean, if you guys hate on attack attack! and all those generic shitty bands, it’s not as bad as this god-awful horrendous music that is so popular around here; and if the music is bad, the image is waaayy worse. I swear I get nauseated when I see those fuckers dressed the way they are: cowboy hats folded like a taco, pink alligator hide cowboy boots, and, fuck, I’m getting nauseated already.

In all honesty, the idea of listening to crab core is much more appealing than this fucking puke garbage.

yeah.. this song talks mostly about a dude that returns to his hometown of obregon, sonora..
to go to strip clubs (table dance, as we know them here (mostly))..
and comes back just to find out that the mayor of obregon closed them all down, so strip clubs in obregon become illegal establishments..

so he mostly whines about why he voted for the mayor elect..
and in the chorus he says he should run to the hill, to navojoa (a city close to obregon), and starts naming all these other strip clubs outside of obregon that he might run to..

    the song is pretty stupid..
    but hey..

then again so is duranguense music..
    as trux described above..

Hell no !!!!!, that shit isn’t even close to mariachi, but still, it sucks ass.

The translation is not the same as the original, unfortunatelly…you heard that kind of music every single day in Mexico.
