I first heard these guys when our bands crossed paths in Little Rock. I’ve been jamming their disc ever since. It sounds a little dated now but overall it holds up. I think the vocals are great, the riffs catchy, guitars nice and crunchy, and solid hard hittin drums. What else do you need?

I was a huge fan of this band, too. Their CD “My soul is wet” still sounds pretty cool to my ears.

Not the coolest thing ever, but we can only be influenced by what we have heard. when you come from a small town in the south/ mid-west, there are no cool record stores to turn you on to new stuff, and in the early 90s–no internet, certainly no decent radio stations. You have to rely on Wal-Mart for music. If you got lucky, they had a copy of metal edge that week. The fact that these guys got off of there asses and did anything shows what kind of artistry was waiting to blossom. Or it could have been the cough syrup.

for some reason, this post made me think of that band screamin’ cheetah wheelies who also had a really terrible name and a mediocre-as-fuck song on the bride of chucky soundtrack and then were never heard from again.

I played the crap out of their CD back in the ’90s. My tastes were different then, I wouldn’t like them today, but they did have a knack for writing catchy hooks.

I don’t think they ripped off life of agony. One of my favorite bands of all time is life of agony seen them 12 times live and I was a big Muthas Day Out fan and I never really saw the connection. And Paw was another great band.

I’m pretty good friends with Chuck, who was in this band and is currently in Deadbird and I have a pretty hard time not bringing him a Mutha’s Day Out CD to have him autograph every time I go see Deadbird live.

You’ve also got to take into account that a few members of the band couldn’t legally vote yet when this was made. I loved this shit when it came out, but of course I was only 12, so what did I know? I still listen to this every once in awhile.

I only remember the song from the Mortal Kombat soundtrack… I seem to remember I thought that song was pretty badass, aside from the censoring of ‘fuck’. But that was a long time ago.

That soundtrack did have some pretty good stuff, though… KMFDM, G//Z/R, Fear Factory, Type O Negative, Bile, Napalm Death, and motherfucking Buckethead.

Yea, they were part of that wave of post Nirvana midwest bands, along with groups like Paw,that got signed to the majors in the early/mid 90s. They were pretty generic.

I was a huge fan of this band back in the 90s, thought they were pretty awesome for their time and that their cd was really good. You have to take into account when this cd came out and not look at it and compared it to today. I got into Rwake and Deadbird because I was checking out what the members were up to.

Yeah these guys were bad. But Rwake is awesome – I believe it’s the drummer from Rwake that was in this band, though he played guitar here.
