However, in order to justify 7-10 minutes songs , a band needs to keep the song interesting with riffs/transition/bridges/solos etc. Metallica's Master of Puppets does all of those things...in the first 4 minutes of each song. Then, the band decides to keep playing the SAME SHIT for another 6 minutes. The are simply not competant enough musicians to keep it interesting.
