You know what the problem with the new Megadeth album is? The artwork is fucking retarded, so I downloaded it instead. It’s solid, but I couldn’t buy it becuase of the eyesore that it is. I bought Metallica’s Death Magnetic, becuase it was 10 bucks and it looks great. Problem there is the album is boring as fuck so It’s already been sold to cheapo. New Slayer now? Good balance there. It’s shallow to say that metal needs the solid art work to sell the cd’s but it does, if you’re going to be one of the few markets where you can still sell cd’s to people who consider themselves collectors, it’s gotta fucking look nice, becuase there are easier and cheaper ways to get it now.

Yeah apparently I missed that part, but it was in the Megadeth forums. Does that really constitute as a threat. I could say “next time I see you post, I’m going to put you in the hospital”. Is that really a threat? Do you feel threatened? No. Why? Because it’s the internet and everyone says shit that they don’t really mean or intend to follow through with. The only people who have ever actually followed through with are the two douche bags from Emmure and The Acacia Strain.

If I were the chick that interviewed him I would feel more offended that he didn’t even remember who I was or the fact that he can’t remember what sexual gender I was. Threatened? No, cause honestly what would the chances be of Mustaine confronting her and putting her in the hospital? None. Blabbermouth is just feeding their stats and trying to rack up more page-views so they can sell more ads and make more money.

You should buy more vinyl, man! It sounds so much better, and obviously the packaging is better as well, especially if the album has good artwork,you can see it in all it’s glory.
Seriously, vinyl is the way to go ! It also goes up in value very,very quickly. You can spend $20 on an LP today, and have that LP be woth $200 two years from now, easily.
the sound quality….. it’s an audio orgasm.

I recall a forum post by Mustaine that said pretty much what you did in your first paragraph — the UK/European Roadrunner works their ass off, and the US branch sits around doing dick all.

It doesn’t surprise me, though. The US music scene is terrifuckable.

Three guys worked together to clean up the mess made by Fidelman. And of all the remixed/ remastered versions out there, this one is miles above the rest. It’s like listening to an entirely different record.

That said – I still perfer EndGame to Death Magnetic. Damn shame that it did not sell more, but, well – that topic has been covered.

You like that style of music. Awesome. That’s your deal. Cool.

But what everyone else likes seems to be a problem to you.

Is it that hard to accept that different things make different people happy in different ways? And that it doesn’t necessarily make them misguided or otherwise in need of correction? If it’s really that hard to accept, then good luck in the outside world, man. That’s a harsh way to see the world, and I truly pity you, for happiness will elude you forever. Luckily, I know you are a child, so there’s plenty of time to grow out of it.

Furthermore, I contend that if everyone liked what you liked, you wouldn’t like it anymore, because then it would be trendy. You’d go listen to something else to maintain some outsider, holier-than-thou credibility.

The only reason I entertain these responses is because of how cutely feeble they are. It’s like a toddler flailing its arms trying to dance. Precious.

If dave want’s to sell more records, then he needs to tour with a band that ’s popular but not thrash or really even metal.

Both Metallica and Megadeth can play and write, whether or not you like their current fare is another story.
Both bands are talented…That’s self evident.

Ive never properly tried listening to megadeath , partly becouse what i have heard hasnt really impressed me and partly becouse of Dave Mustaine, He seems like he’s just some stupid christian who think he’s gods gift to metal. Im quite happy to not be a fan of megadeath.

I agree fully. Mustaine has an identity crisis going on, always has. He wants to be true metal incarnate, but wants to sell millions of records. You can’t do it. Metallica were the true heroes of metal until the Black album came out. They knew exactly what they were getting into. They traded metal status for fame. And it worked. Dave needs to accept that metal is a niche audience, and sales are going down the drain for everyone these days, not just him. Metallica has cross-over appeal, so you got jocks, fratboys, and hillbillies all buying it as well as metal fans. Megadeth don’t have cross-over appeal, because, gee, I dunno, they’re fucking METAL.

I’ve played Endgame and Death Pathetic side by side, seriously, Endgame blows it the fuck out of the water. The production quality is top fucking notch, the songs are catchy, heavy, aggressive, and still melodic. Death Magnetic is some sloppy ass riffs, and 6 lines of lyrics spouted over and over. I’m not a Metallica hater, they were my fucking heroes. I REALLY wanted to like DM. I wanted to like it so bad, but I can’t. It’s garbage.
