Man I don’t know why so many people bag on Mantric. Because its not Extol? No shit. Thats why its not called Extol. If you ask me, its a Beautifully constructed, driving, hard hitting Prog/Metal album. It’s like everyone judges every metal band based on some black metal theory that everything has to be the standard, overworked, boring blasted out formula that everyone duplicates over and over again. Great stuff if you ask me.

I’m a huge Extol fan so this is cool to see some ex-guitarists play in a new band. The demo songs are really good…the first song..not as much I think. The vocals need a little getting used to. Hopefully their album sounds a lot like the demo songs on there.

Ex-Extol is good, but I am honestly more pumped that the members in question are responsible for Lengsel’s The Kiss – The Hope. I’ll definitely check out this record.

The album is fantastic! Being a long time Extol fan, I can get passed the vocals, but I understand how that can limit the experience for some.
