A good combo of 'CoE' and '...fire in our throats....' I still think they need a better drummer though, I saw them open for ISIS this summer and, aside from a far superior sound mix for ISIS, the difference that ISIS drummer made in driving their sound was so noticeable after Pelican. But these guys are great, and this is a great album. Agree, final song with vocals is odd, and sort of unnecessary, but minor quibble. There are many different elements flowing through this album and I definitely think they are moving in an interesting direction while still bringing back the heaviness that has been lacking on their last few releases. Their reasoning (at least in part) for writing shorter songs is that they will be able to play more of them live, as opposed to only being able to play 5-6 ten minute long songs.
