It just seems the higher on the chain of power you are, the more violent your reactions seem to become. Such as you mentioned, in point E about atrocities committed for Christ. And sure. The Bible even SAYS that people are gonna end up doing bullshit in the name of religion, and those people will end up damned for it. But I don't see metal condemning radical Islam, with such events as 9/11 occurring. It seems Christianity's screw-ups get scrutinized and other religions don't when it comes to music. On the note of Catholics... even as a Christian, just a baseline Christian, no particular denomination-- it's easy to see catholicism as idolatry, considering how their churches are so opulent compared to others, and they are the one denomination that does appear to have money floating about. An observation really; personal opinion. So maybe that does make me a hypocrite, to criticize others who are supposed to be of my same belief, but I dunno, maybe it's NOT the same belief. I don't believe everything that every other Christian does. Just that Jesus is God's son, he died for humanity's sins, came back to life, and is going to come again. And hey, you don't want to believe that? Fine by me. I won't tell you you're wrong. Because I don't KNOW. I believe in God. I don't KNOW he exists. So why are you so fussy about telling all of us Christians that WE are wrong? You don't know for sure anymore than we do. Maybe you're right. Maybe we are. We'll find out when we die.
