METAL BLADE’S LATEST SIGN IS A REAL BARN BURNER

And such is the case with Barn Burner, who just signed to Metal Blade. The press release announcing the coupling describes the band as “the 3 headed love child of Iron Maiden, Thin Lizzy and Fu Manchu,” but it’s much simpler to say simply that this is fuzzy, classic stoner rock in the vein of Baroness or Blood Mountain-era Mastodon.
Anyways, I’m digging what I’ve heard of this band so far. I guess we’ll see how Bangers, their Metal Blade debut, is when it’s released in early 2010. In the meantime, here’s a video of the band that they have posted on the aforementioned ; it looks like they’re fun live, doesn’t it?

They released Bangers in September dude. And not on Metal Blade (although they are now on MB).
Metal Blade is re-releasing it, worldwide, in 2010.
Too bad 95% of these fan-filmed Youtube videos are recorded with a Mr. Microphone.
Yes, we are giving Bangers a full worldwide release in 2010. It’s an amazing record and we’re really stoked on these guys!

I’m from Montreal, I saw these guys live in a basement in Vancouver, I then went to their van and bought a t-shirt and an album. The album was Bangers. It was sick. It’s still sick.
Next time I see them I’ll congratulate them. Till then, FUCK YEAH ALRIGHT STONER METAL THAT’S NOT A SLEEP OR SABBATH CARBON COPY!
I’ve seen these guys a couple of times and they fucking slay live. I have their EP laying around here somewhere.

They are in the same style of music trend I’m noticing that I enjoy quite a bit lately.
Bands like Early Man, Kylesa, Baroness, Saviours, The Sword, Witchcraft, etc…. All a throwback to 70’s era metal. anything else I should throw on this list?

Found these guys on Myspace a few months ago n’ totally dug ‘em. Glad to see ‘em get some recognition.
Saw them live a few months ago as support for Lords. They really impressed me. Glad they are getting some recognition. If I recall correctly, they reminded me of Speedealer. Can’t really tell from the video.
