While the prospect of a Grohl/Homme/JPJ union was indeed tantalizing in theory, the partnership has turned out to be pretty “meh” in practice. It’s perfectly fine boogie/blues/whatever rock music, but would anyone ultimately give a shit if not for the star-studded cast of characters involved? Methinksnot, but you be judge.

Yea, been very disappointed with both tracks i’ve heard from this. Agree, if it wasn’t Homme/Grohl/JPJ no one would care…
This song is killer, New Fang isn’t THAT great, but this one is excellent.
Then again I just have a huge BROner for anything Grohl and Homme do… so that may be a biased opinion.
I’ve been a big Homme fan for a long time but, yeah, meh.
They should release an instrumental version of this record because I love the music but the vocals, especially the Dave Grohl, is killing it.
