Yeah this is like their b-sides album. Their own ‘Incesticide’ if you will. There are a couple songs that turned out alright, but I think for the most part they’re just revamping and putting this stuff out there. I heard they were doing another record soonish, anyone else heard about this?

The reason their sound is different in this album is because it is NOT new material. It is re-recordings of rare tracks from the bands past. Theyre currently working on another new album with actual new material that i expect will be just as awesome as “The end is begun”

After loving the last couple of albums i was so fucking stoked for this one and after one listen i was like what the fuckkk. So fucking boring, a huge disappointment.

Like the first comment said Revisions is made up of a bunch of reworked older songs. It’s also their last album on Metal Blade. They have another new one coming out on Roadrunner next year apparently.

Haha. After reading the above guys post, I seriously doubt their sanity. I gave “The End is Begun” a spin and thought it was pretty good stuff. Revisions though, it’s just, just, DISGUSTING. If this is the direction they’re going in, I honestly think Metal Blade should drop these guys.

I didn’t find it to be mainstream pop-rock, but I stopped listening about a song and a half in… I think. I may have blacked out, because I don’t really remember much except that the singer annoyed me.

it’s no wake pig or the end… but it’s not so bad, as long as you know going in that it’s not new material or anything of the like. Not my favorite stuff from 3, but it definitely shows where they came from

They blogged about it on My Space. The songs on this album for the most part are not new material. Rather they are reworked songs from their back catalog. I’m a huge Three fan, and I have a lot of their old albums which are, like you said, poppy cheese kind of stuff, rather than the later more progressive material. I haven’t listened to this one yet, but I’m wanting new Three stuff, not reworked material.
