I couldn’t disagree more. Totally bland drumming and a poor representation of Hoglan’s ability. Also, it sure as hell did not live up to the bashing that Dino gave Raymond in the media. Gene adds nothing fresh or n ew, at least in this song. Not saying that is his fault, but it is true.

It’s alright, not as good as their classic stuff. The endless chugging get’s a bit tiresome even though I love FF and SYL. Imo the 2 greatest bands of the late 90′s-early 2000.

Seriously, for as much as FF have done for heavy music in general, they sure get a lot of grief from little internet haters who couldn’t hold a candle to what they do in real life. I’m hearing Cyberwaste all of a sudden…

I love the new song. Is it Demanufacture? No. Even if it was, the haters would only bitch that it’s the same thing over again. Since it’s not, the haters bitch that it’s not the same. Damn people just love to bitch about shit. Should probably change the name of this site to Pigeonhole, inc. Honestly, metal in general has bored the fucking shit out of me for the last few years(with only a few rare exceptions), and this is one of the first things I’ve heard that wasn’t just screaming over blast beats, so I’m all about it.

Aye! However my friend had the best theory, that they started out as Justin Broadrick whores and emulated a lot of ND’s Scum on Soul Of A New Machine and then switched over to Godflesh’s Pure for the extra industrial touch! Personally I really like Soul and Demanufacture to this day but the following albums were weak Nu-metal cash ins, Archetype had a glimmer of hope in places but ultimately fell flat on its face. This new song sounds like something between Demanufacture and Obsolete, it’s alright, better than some but nothing special. I shall now resume listening to Portishead…

It’s obviously FF styled drumming, but some of the cymbal and hi hat hits were nicely placed. Herrera simply never did anything remotely interesting like that.

The drums in this song had “I’m going to try to play like Herrera as much as possible” written all over it. Hoglan did nothing different that Herrera did with his start-stop double bass and continuing snare hits throughout the entire song. Not to say the drumming in this song was bad, but if no one told me that Hoglan played on this song I would instantly assume that Raymond Herrera was on the song.

suuuuuuuuuuckkkkkkksssssssssss straight up ass. im a big fan of obsolete and archtype, but this is like rehashing some rehash… i mean, christ, you cant take any ol` chugg at place some double bass under it for 4 minutes and call it anything new. metalsucks is right, there is better metal out there. these had a chance to evolve after obsolete, which in some ways was their peak, but they shose to go the rap metal way instead. im imagining a machine gun fast industrial tinged , imagry filled technical album that could of beed digimortal but nooo……now, we have this…well, guess il go listen to gojira…
