We push The Ocean as much we can in North America. The last record had tons of great press. It’s the same with Eryn Non Dae, great press, great reviews. More than anything, music these days is in the hands of the fans. The more copies fans buy, the more stores will order the record, the more money we can alot of a given band, etc. You also have to understand that touring in the US for European bands isn’t always cost effective. Flights, work visas, vehicle/trailer rentals add up to thousands of dollars of expenses and months of planning before a tour even starts – The Ocean lost A LOT of money on their last US tour they did w/ Lair Of The Minotaur, Intronaut and Kylesa.

This is awesome. I’ve been waiting for another Ocean album ever since I first heard Precambrian 2 years ago. Even today, I was thinking about when they would put out another album. If either of these two albums is even half as good as Precambrian, it will pretty much be album of the year.

Whitechapel sells. I can’t blame Metal Blade for pimping them, especially if it’s a tradeoff which leads to good bands like Barn Burner getting the credit they deserve. Metal Blade are among the better labels nowadays.

Yes, yes, yes and yes!!!!! One of the best artists on Metalblade. I don’t understand why Metalblade doesn’t push their European artists to North America. I understand their is a difference in musical tastes to an extent, but fuck man I don’t want to hear what’s going on with Whitechapel, I wanna know what’s going on with bands like Eryn Non Dae.

All of The Ocean’s albums have been great, with so many twists and turns into different genres. Sludgy and dramatic as fuck, can’t wait for the the new stuff. Wish they’d come visit the states too.

The Ocean are fucking awesome and this is great news.

Although…I find it odd that you can like Suicide Silence and say that Oceano is “terrible” I don’t think they are all that great either but think about it. You kind of have to at least say they are decent if you like Suicide Silence
