I mean, the night is young so shit could still go horribly awry I suppose, but all in all, I had a pretty good day – nay, I had a pretty good week. If only the same could be said for the world of metal. Here’s some disasters the plagued various musicians this week:
- Slash completed his decade-long indoctrination into the Metallica “Fuck Our Fans” Club.
- We’re not sure if Steven Tyler is still in Aerosmith or not, but we are sure that we don’t give a fuck either way.
- There was a lot of controversy over a really, really ugly painting.
- No can explain to me why I should care about Alter Bridge.
- Fear Faction ate s’more babies, released a new song.
- R.I.P. Jerry Fuchs.
And, oh yeah, some good news: MetalSucks is going to do a digital release of The Binary Code’s Suspension of Disbelief on December 15 for just five bucks! Get stoked.

and lets not forget, Periphery FUCKING KILLED THE LIVING FUCK out of anything and everyone last night. honestly. i cant say i felt as moved by the opening bands. Awsome show guys.
If the surprise is Devin Townsend related like you guys were hinting before, I do not see how it couldn’t possibly be a wonderful surprise.
LOL. Keep trying MS. No band in history has done more for its fans than Metallica. Meet n’ greets before every single show, Fanclub shows too numerous to mention, millions donated to charity, many Make-a-wish Foundation wishes granted for terminally sick fans, countless free product adn event giveaways, tons of free vault downloads of entire concerts from livemetallica.com, donating cash to help find a missing fan (who didn’t even stay to attend their set), nightly updated pics and downloads via MetonTour, countless free giveaways to local fanclub chapters all over the planet……I could go on and on. And on top of all this, Metallica has among the best professional reputations in the music business because of the respectful way they treat people…….from personal assistants, hired help in various capacities, past and present road crew, opening acts. You name it.
Let me guess….you’re one of the spineless thieving fucks that’s still butt-hurt to this day because the band went after Napster and helped end your cowardly thieving ways.
Met bashers are so amusing in their ignorance and blind hate. That’s okay though, nobody misses you guys at the countless sold out shows all over the world. And you haven’t been missed since the old days. The world of Metallica has moved on with you and is 100 times better for it.
