START YOUR WEEK WITH AN INJECTION OF SOULFLY

Monday, November 16th, 2009 at 9:00am by Axl Rosenberg

Max Cavalera and Soulfly are back in the studio, working on their seventh (shit, time flies!) album, tentatively titled Omen, and those cool motherfuckers at Metal Injection got Mr. Cavalera himself to do an in-studio video update. Check it out:

Not to be disrespectful to Max Cavalera or nothing, but while you happen to be in a studio with Logan Mader, do you think you could give your brother a call and get crackin’ on a new Cavalera Conspiracy album, too? I’d be much obliged if ya did.

It’s a long, long way to fall from Inner Self to Jumpdafuckup.

it just made me turn up some old sepultura so thats a good thing.

Marc Rizzo is a bad, bad mutha on the gee-tar!!!

  6. loose nut says:

who cares about this guy? he ruined sepultura with roots, left for good and started 2 shitty bands afterwards while sepultura went on fixing their reputation. just look at their last 3 albums, they are 100x better than anything max would’ve done in sepultura or did with soulfly.

I do completely agree – I want me some new Cavalera Conspiracy. Plus maybe Joe Duplantier could not play bass but also do some singing on this one

The only band that can Compare to SepulTura now is Cavalera Cospiracy, then Soulfly is a minus

I would rather be injected with H1N1 than listen to this.

    Blood Bath and Beyond….LOL
I wish I came up with that! I wanna hear that song now!

Conquer was a letdown. It was fast & “metal”, but it simply didn’t sound like a Soulfly record. I hope the new songs will be shorter and more like the Prophecy/Dark Ages albums.

i have nothing but love for Max Cavalera. if this sounds anything like the mix of slayer and minor threat like i’ve heard mentioned, this should be huge. even now, soulfly’s the closest thing to bad brains in the metal realm as anyone i can think of, so this kind of mix sounds perfect! can’t wait to hear the jams.
