TOMORROW: DEVIN TOWNSEND SUCKS

Tomorrow, The Devin Townsend Project will release Addicted, the second part of a four album cycle.

To celebrate, Mr. Townsend is taking over MetalSucks for the day.

    My copy of Addicted arrived in the mail yesterday. This album rocks my socks off. Seriously. I had to get one sock off the ceiling fan. The other shot across the room and down the back of the bookcase and is lost forever, or at least until we move. Thanks Devy.

    I guess my main opinion of ‘Addicted’ is that it was very different to what Devin had been saying about it. I thought it would be a heap of four-minute melodic bursts of brilliance along the lines of tracks like ‘Material’ from the ‘Physicist’ record.

    But really it came across more like ‘Accelerated Evolution Part 2′. Still, that doesn’t stop it from being a great album, which it is.
