Then I had to Google “BMTH” to find out what the fuck BMTH is.

Anyways, this band is actually called Miss May I. I actually thought the opening riff was pretty cool if totally standard death metal shit, but then the singing started…

        Screw you dude. I didn’t think they were gonna post this video because all they did was reply back to me after I asked for thoughts about this band and video. So I come back to MS this morning and I saw that it did. Who cares if I’m this “cunt” that you speak of. You spelled my last name wrong and made it sound like some sort of coffee drink so think before you start bashing people for having a open mind to music. I listen to bands like Protest the Hero, Demon Hunter, Dream Theater, Scar Symmetry, All That Remains, Born of Osiris, Chimaira, For Today, Impending Doom, Architects, Between the Buried and Me, August Burns Red, Animals as Leaders, Maylene and the Sons of Disaster, Threat Signal, Austrian Death Machine, After the Burial, Suicide Silence, Divine Heresy, Soilwork, Mnemic, Sleeping Giant, ABACABB, The World We Knew, Arsonists Get All the Girls, The Crimson Armada, Katatonia, Miseration, A Plea for Purging, Oceano, Mychildren Mybride, and Creed (yes I said it, i listen to CREED!) So hint the term “open-minded” and just shut up. Besides, this isn’t deathcore retard!

          Oh and on another note, when I said that this is not Bring Me the Horizon, I said that because this isn’t. The band itself doesn’t even sound close to Bring Me to Horizon and I knew people were gonna start bashing this band for sounding like another BMTH.

          This band would actually be good if it wasn’t for the singing. Honestly singing (gay singing at that) doesn’t work with the hardcore genre. Gay singing should stick with emo music. But hey… anything is better than Attack Atttack’s crabcore…

            +1 forced sing song verses are the worst things that happened to metal. Breakdowns can be good, random awkward singing verses between screaming never ever is.

      Agreed.
      I saw these guys live first time, and they put on a hell of a show.
      They certainly care more about musicianship than anything else, regardless of whatever else anyone says. And I personally enjoy the singer’s voice.
      Nothing amazing, true. Solid band in my opinion.

    I never could get into these guys, something always turned me off to them. They are better then BMTH, and Attack Attack, but always thought The Crimson Armada totally owned all these bands. This website needs to give The Crimson Armada some love!

    Never heard of this band before… but so far, I’m kinda liking it? The harsh vocals are really irritating, but other than that it’s pretty decent. I was fully expecting some gay clean vocals to come in but when they did they weren’t anywhere near as cheesy as I was expecting, and it didn’t suddenly turn into some kind of disco trance whatever the fuck it is like Attack Attack, so yeah, I have no reason to hate this.

    When you are from the greater Dayton, Ohio area, names such as Attack Attack!, The Devil Wears Prada, and Miss May I are commonplace names from the local scene of 5 years ago, so hearing people talk about them on the national level is strange to me. I remember their shows when they were playing for 20 or so people “back in the day.” We have quite the scene of this crap around here, and I am sick of it.

    I don’t think these guys are too bad. The guitar players are pretty good and put some innovation into their playing, the rest of the band gets the job done too, just replace the annoying vocals and eliminate the breakdowns and you would have a pretty good band.

    I don’t care if I get flamed: I really like this band.

    I bought their CD last Friday after seeing this vid on Headbanger’s Ball. It’s actually the weakest song on the album.

    Is the disc Earth-shattering? Nope. It’s pretty much by-the-numbers metalcore, but I do likes me some breakdowns when they’re done right.

    These guys have the potential for greatness. They just need a new vocalist. Preferably ex-Haste the Day screamer Jimmy Ryan. I don’t mind the dude doing clean vocals, but the “growler” is awful.
