Oh god, pop and instruments do not go together and showing off any bit of skill at the instrument is a disgrace to the pop industry.

Auto-tune moar please and please do not ever play an instrument!!! How can you dance around the stage dancing like a beautiful lily showing you’re a sprouted flower over your old boyfriend if you got an instrument in your hand!? EEEEEW!!!

Anyways, good song or not, it’s nice seeing a video of a pop singing girl playing a damn instrument and actually showing some skill in it.

You could do alot worse from am usical standpoint. The point is…….would you want young girls taking inspiration from music like this where a female artist actually plays an instrument proficiently or would you rather her grow up idolizing talent-less bimbos like Britney?

I saw “This Is It,” the Michael Jackson documentary (hate me if you must, but it’s a very impressive behind-the-scenes view of the guy’s planned comeback) and the film shows her shredding at length. Apparently, she was gonna have a big guitar solo moment in the middle of the show. From watching that, I can tell you the woman can seriously play.

The song posted above is kinda cute, but it doesn’t showcase what she can really do with a guitar. Some producer probably told her to cut back the solo parts so the pop audience wouldn’t lose focus. Anyway, I’d be interested to hear her do some instrumental stuff, like Vai, Tony MacAlpine or Vinnie Moore.
